What can I say? I’m a graphic designer and I miss the mountains! Do you recognise where I took inspiration for this artwork from? *Cough* Patagonia *cough*!
I couldn’t resist creating this beauty as it’s an idea I’ve had sat in the back of my mind for a while, I’ve just never really made it into an actual design.
Here in Wales we’ve been in lockdown since mid-March, and it is now mid-June. Snowdonia is too far for me to travel without breaking Welsh COVID-19 law, and even if I could travel that far many of the mountains are closed to all walkers, including locals. These path closures include all routes up Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales standing at a lofty 1,085m. Snowdon would normally be heaving with tourists, mountain walkers, climbers, campers and , of course, Three Peaks Challenge teams at this time of year.
I’m lucky because I live on the edge of the Clwydian Range and have so many lovely trails nearby which I can access on foot from my front door, but nothing compares to the big, beautiful mountains of Snowdonia. I’m counting down the days until I can return.
